Whew...What an April/May

Lets see:
In April we went to Dallas/Ft. Worth for Spring Break....
Logan's choice!
I told him he could go "anywhere" he wanted
and
he chose Dallas...
so off we went for a fun-filled week.
We were able to visit Six Flags, the Ft. Worth Zoo,
and many fun restaurants with shopping in between.
We are almost to the end of baseball season.....
three games left.
Our team (Tampa Bay Rays) is doing really well
and
Logan is enjoying himself.
He loves to bat but isn't much on playing in the outfield!!
Oh Well!
Logan's 1st grade year at Hudson PEP is coming to an end.
Field Day (Fun on the Farm) was yesterday.
It was so much fun!
I cannot believe that I am the mom of a (almost) 2nd grader.
WOW!
We have enjoyed Hudson PEP
and
I'm thankful for the education he is receiving there.
He was tested for Gifted & Talented and made it!
I'm happy about this because he definitely needs the extra challenge!
All in all life is grand!
I couldn't be any prouder of Logan.
He is a blessing and after 7 1/2 years of loving him -
I am still amazed that I can't quit staring at him (he's so handsome),
I never tire of hearing his voice,
I still love the way his hand feels in mine,
and
I'm still incredulous as to why the Lord chose me to be his mom.
Life is Great and God is Good!

Without Training Wheels

Well, Logan really is growing up!

Last week my dad kept Logan

on

Monday and Tuesday....

I told him that his assignment for the week

was to teach Logan to ride his bicycle

without training wheels.

Logan would NOT do it for his Pawpaw.

However, when I got home - I "firmly" told Logan

that he WAS going to try and he WAS going to do it.

And, he did!

After about 5 seconds of me holding the

seat, he was off and riding all by himself.

I can't hardly get him off his bike now!!

Valentine's Day at Hudson PEP

My Handsome Valentine!

Future Scientist

Logan received a Science Lab for Christmas
and
WE have had more fun with it!
Our favorite - so far - has been the crystals.

Curiosity & THE Star

Each week the teachers at
Hudson PEP
pick a
Star of the Week
from their class that represent
the Life Skill
they are learning about that week.
This week the Life Skill was CURIOSITY....
This week Logan was picked!!
He was THRILLED!!
He has patiently
- many weeks not so patiently -
waited to hear
his name announced!

Mrs. Cole
(the best 1st Grade teacher at H-PEP)
likes it to be a surprise, however,
she calls the parents the night before
to let them know.
The assembly is at 7:30 a.m. so it is
VERY important to have a heads up
(especially for me...
he NEVER gets there that early!)!

I think Logan knew something was up
when
Mimi, PawPaw, and
Darin were there!

He was thrilled and so proud.
I was thrilled and so proud.

Oh, the bear (Honey Bear)
gets to spend the week with us!

(I think I need a better camera though....
one that stays in focus
from further distances.
Sorry for the blur!)

Merry Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas 2008
Once again, Logan had a very good Christmas!
We always celebrate in several locations with several people -
so he tends to get alittle (more) spoiled with the material things.
I'm proud of him because he always remembers the true
Reason for the Season.
This year our Christmas was celebrated on Christmas Eve with Darin,
Christmas Day with PawPaw and later with Mimi, and continued on the 26th
at Mimi's with GrandMawMaw......it was a spread out Christmas.
Once again we were reminded how blessed we truly are.

Playdate with Sox

Logan wanted to teach Sox how to play fetch...
He ended up getting discouraged because Sox
wanted NO part of retrieving the ball and returning it!
Still....a GREAT day!
