Field Day 2010

I love Hudson PEP's field day! It is a couple of hours of pure fun and games. We are located at a temporary campus (and have been for two years), while our brand new school is being built, and we do not have room for field day there. A family was generous enough to lend their land to us for the day. The weather was perfect! I was blessed to be able to spend the day, with Logan, doing something FUN!
Arriving for Field Day....Each class is dressed in "their" colors!

Yes! He's Cute!

Their team filled their bottle up first! Cute game!

Tug-of-War??? I was just hoping someone didn't pull their arm out of socket.

Ready - Set - Slide!

Blind-Folded Squirt/Hide-&-Go Seek

Mud Limbo!

This game was HARD to understand..for the parents! The children got it right away.

Zoo Day

I'm so blessed to work for a Christian man that believes in family first! I was able to attend Logan's 2nd Grade Field Trip, to the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler, yesterday.
It was a fast, furious, and FUN trip!

Mother's Day/Father's Day Photos

If I'm like most people....I do NOT enjoy having pictures taken of myself (AT ALL). I enjoy being BEHIND the camera! However, for Mother's Day (and upcoming Father's Day) I decided to do something for my parents! My mother LOVED the pictures and I assume my dad will as well. Here are a couple of shots from our "photo shoot" by ANA CLARK! (Thank you, Ana!)

Happy Mother's Day!

Logan and I go to my dads everyday to feed animals and train the horse, it is something we look forward to daily. I decided to take Logan's new bike to Pawpaw's house because he lives on a street that you can actually ride on (as opposed to mine where people drive 70 mph). Logan has been begging me to get a bike so I can ride with him, SOOOOOOO today, for Mother's Day, I bought myself the prettiest pink bike ever. My feet barely touch the ground (I'm still learning that 5'2" is pretty short) and I don't know how to operate it (it has gears!???) but it is cute!! Today we went for a ride and wow.....did we ever have fun (and boy, do I hurt!)!!
------------------------------------------------------
This is my 8th year of being a mommy. EIGHTH! I'm so blessed that the Lord chose me to be Logan's mommy; it amazes me at times that I haven't gotten over the fact that He chose ME! Wow! In the past 8 years I have learned so much from Logan. I suppose I will continue to learn more from him than he will ever learn from me. I hope he knows that every decision I make is because of him (& Him) and that even when I fail at being a "good mommy" that it's not because I'm not trying. My greatest desire for Logan is to grow into a happy, healthy, strong, capable CHRISTIAN man. He is on the right track!
Happy Mother's Day to my mom; she gave up so much to make sure I had everything I wanted - when all I really needed was her love - and I know I had it and have it. I'm truly blessed. I am more blessed than any one person deserves!

Cousins

Getting Logan & Lain to "cheese" at the same time proved to be a challenge!

We were blessed to spend the weekend with my family in Maud. Logan LOVES his "little cousin Lain" (who is actually his 2nd cousin) and his cousin Matt.

The Chosen Heart

Longing for a child to love,

I'd wish upon the stars above.

In my heart I always knew,

A part of me was meant for you.

I think how happy we will be,

Once I adopt you, and you adopt me.

I dream of all the joy you'll bring,

Imagining even the littlest things.

The way it will feel to hold you tight,

And tuck you in every night.

The drawings on the refrigerator door,

And childhood toys across the floor.

The favorite stories read again and again,

And hours of games with make-believe friends.

The day you took my outstretched hand,

A journey ended, but our lives began.

Still mesmerized by your sweet face,

Still warmed inside by our first embrace.

I promised to give you a happy home,

And a loving family all your own.

A house you've now made complete,

With laughter, smiles, and tiny feet.

A parent is one who guides the way,

Know I will be there everyday.

Rest easy as each night you sleep,

A lifetime of love is yours to keep.

Longing for a child to love,

I'd wish upon the stars above.

In my heart I always knew,

A part of me belonged to you.

I am blessed to be Logan's mommy! Blessed!

I am so thankful that the Lord chose me to be his Mommy!
