Spring Break, Part 2

For our 2nd day on Spring Break we decided to try Medieval Times.  Wow!  It was our first time to go there and we loved it.  We were on the Yellow Team (Logan's VERY least favorite color) and I was afraid we may have a revolt......but, he was a great sport and seemed to forget our color and just cheer for our knight!  The food was good as well.  Logan, Mr. Picky Eater, even ate the food that was served to us.  The horses were gorgeous and the fighting was intense.....who wouldn't love it?
It was a great afternoon ~ full of entertainment.

We took this picture THREE times....All 3 times his eyes were closed!

He's loving it!

GOOOO YELLOW!

Handing roses out.....

Spring Break, Part 1

Logan, Mimi, and I traveled to Dallas for a few days over Spring Break.  It was a welcomed break and tons of fun!  Any time I get to spend quality time with Logan is precious!

Day 1:
We visited LegoLand at the Grapevine Mills Mall.  It was almost too young-themed for Logan but it was perfect for Mimi and myself.  We really loved the Dallas/Fort Worth scenes (made completely with Legos).  If we had waited another year Logan may have been too old.

The creations were astonishing!
Not too sure why this is sideways?  I can't fix it....just tilt your head:)

The Movie was My Favorite Part ~ Mimi's Too!

And, Of Course We Had to Leave with MANY New Legos!

Star of the Week

James 2

Verse on Fairness

1 My brothers and sisters, believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ must not show favoritism. 2 Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in. 3 If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here’s a good seat for you,” but say to the poor man, “You stand there” or “Sit on the floor by my feet,” 4 have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts?
5 Listen, my dear brothers and sisters: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?

This was written by his teacher, Mrs. Easterling ~ 4th Grade

I've said this before and I'll say it again....
One of the reasons I love Hudson PEP is because of their focus on character traits.
On Friday, February 24th, Logan was honored for the character trait of fairness.
I am SO proud of the young man he is becoming!

....always look again

This is a valuable reminder for me in this season of my life.
I am busy, tired,  and overwhelmed.
However, I am reminded that what seems too hard is do-able.
I am also encouraged by the promise of Philippians 4:13:
I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
I want to encourage you - if at first your situation seems impossible.....look again.

Always Look Again!
